Where do you get the news and articles?

StartupInMe automatically discovers startup related content from among hundreds of thousands of items on social networks daily. We have hand-picked a lot of influencers on the startup scene we follow, but we also do a lot of semantic analysis on social media to automatically find items about startups from others. The items get ranked and rated by users like you to enhance the quality of the selection. If we have missed something, you can always submit that for others to enjoy. Why not share something with others right now?

How are items ranked?

Number of votes and comments plus the importance of stories on social media (retweets, likes etc) gets divided by the age of the item.

What is karma and leaderboard?

Your karma includes the number of your submissions, comments, votes, visits and other actions. We are also fine-tuning the karma formulas to focus on quality, not quantity. You can see your karma next to your name in the header, if logged in.
